About The Position

As a Sales Associate at Revco Lighting & Electrical Supply, you will help contractors, electricians, builders, and homeowners find the products and solutions they need. You will assist customers at the counter, by phone, and by email; provide knowledgeable service; process orders accurately; and build lasting customer relationships. This role supports customers’ success and the company’s growth in a fast-paced environment. The position is onsite at 360 County Rd 39A, Southampton, NY 11968, and reports to the Branch Manager, Jimmy Walsh. The schedule is full time, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with alternating Saturdays from 6:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Compensation is $22–$32 per hour, plus 2% commission on the gross margin of individual sales written after 30 days of employment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in sales support, administration, or customer service.
• Willingness to learn electrical products.
• Comfort with basic pricing and discount calculations.
• Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and email/internet tools.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

• Experience in building materials, electrical supply, or the trades.
• Electrical product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the counter, over the phone, and by email.
• Build customer relationships and grow accounts.
• Help customers find products and recommend alternatives.
• Answer questions about pricing, availability, lead times, and order status.
• Prepare and follow up on quotes, orders, and bids.
• Process orders, returns, and exchanges.
• Support inside and outside sales, purchasing, and delivery teams.
• Keep the sales floor organized, balance the cash drawer, and maintain accurate ERP records.
