About The Position

VarcoMac is seeking an Electrical Pre-Fab Detailer to support commercial electrical construction projects through precise, collaborative detailing. The role works closely with the BIM Coordination team, Pre-Fab Shop Managers, and field teams to develop Revit-based field installation shop drawings, prefabrication build drawings, details, and spool sheets. The detailer translates 3D models into practical documentation for prefabrication and field installation, supports electrical 3D coordination and visualization, and contributes ideas to improve team processes, templates, and workflows. This is an onsite position in Chantilly, Virginia. No visa sponsorship is available.

Requirements

Proven experience in electrical BIM detailing, electrical 3D coordination, or related detailing work.
Strong skills in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
Familiarity with electrical systems and components in commercial construction.
Experience or interest in prefabrication workflows and how BIM supports field execution.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
A detail-oriented mindset and commitment to producing high-quality deliverables that support field success.

Nice To Haves

Experience with EVOLVE software is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Develop Revit-based field installation shop drawings, prefabrication build drawings, details, and spool sheets for electrical construction projects.
Collaborate with the BIM Coordination team, Pre-Fab Shop Managers, and field leaders to ensure designs are accurate, buildable, and aligned with installation needs.
Use Autodesk software, including Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks, to support electrical 3D coordination and visualization.
Translate 3D models into practical documentation for prefabrication and field installation.
Contribute ideas to improve processes, templates, and workflows within the Pre-Fab Detailers team.
Use EVOLVE software and other digital tools to improve detailing efficiency and accuracy.
