About The Position

The HVAC Pre-Fab Associate is responsible for assisting with the fabrication, assembly, preparation, and organization of HVAC components and materials prior to installation. This position works closely with the HVAC production and installation teams to ensure components are accurately prepared, properly labeled, and ready for installation while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

Requirements

  • Previous HVAC, sheet metal, construction, manufacturing, or fabrication experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand basic measurements, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to use a tape measure and other basic measuring tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Willingness to learn HVAC fabrication processes and procedures.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to frequently bend, kneel, reach, climb, and lift.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with assistance when necessary.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and industrial or construction environments.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Read and follow work orders, drawings, blueprints, and production instructions.
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and prepare HVAC ductwork, fittings, supports, and related components.
  • Assist with the fabrication and pre-assembly of HVAC systems and components.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and fabrication equipment safely and correctly.
  • Verify dimensions, materials, quantities, and components to ensure accuracy.
  • Label and organize fabricated components for efficient installation.
  • Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
  • Identify damaged, defective, or incorrect materials and report issues to the supervisor.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements.
  • Properly handle and store tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, moving, and staging HVAC materials as needed.
  • Work effectively with other team members to meet production schedules and deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
