Electrical Panel Assembler

Nidec•Brooklyn Heights, OH

About The Position

The Electrical Panel Assembler assembles, wires, modifies, and tests electrical control panels, subassemblies, and related electrical systems using engineering drawings, schematics, layout drawings, bills of material, and work instructions. The role performs routine and semi-routine production work with a moderate degree of independence and supports production schedules while meeting quality, safety, and customer requirements. Success requires consistent workmanship, attention to detail, adherence to standards, minimal rework, and continued development of panel assembly skills. The position includes laying out and preparing enclosures; mounting and wiring electrical components; applying labels; performing inspections, basic electrical tests, repairs, and modifications; and maintaining production and quality records. The assembler follows safety and workplace-organization procedures, coordinates with production, engineering, and quality teams, communicates issues and shortages, and supports process improvement and production activities. Work takes place in a manufacturing and production environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and industrial machinery. The job requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions for extended periods, as well as handling materials up to 30 pounds. The schedule is First Shift (United States of America).
