The Electrical Mechanical Technician will be responsible for assembling components on assigned programs, which may include optical components, electro-optical components, or circuit card assemblies. This role involves fabricating hardware, equipment, tools, or prototypes from drawings or sketches, and reading blueprints. The technician will work independently on production assemblies and rework, utilizing various hand tools and maintaining organization across multiple technical jobs. Cross-training within the department is expected to learn new skills and work processes. The role also contributes to maintaining productivity and efficiency, meeting delivery dates, and upholding compliance. Additionally, the technician will identify and correct minor process, material, design, or equipment issues and develop the ability to understand Material Safety Data Sheets for handling hazardous chemicals.
