We operate in Canada as Engineered Lifting Systems and Equipment (ELS)/DBA Gorbel® Canada, and subsequent communication related to Canadian positions may show the ELS name. You may be contacted by phone by recruitment personnel based in either Canada or New York. The Electrical Mechanical Assembler is responsible for the assembly of control panels. Assembler utilizes stock electrical and mechanical components to build custom panels per job instructions. Works with little or no supervision. Interaction with Technicians or Engineering Department may be required depending on complexity of the design.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be able to pass truck and crane certification with training upon hire
• Computer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programs
• Ability to read tape measure
• Ability to read a blue print
• Ability to use hand tools requiring dexterity
• Must be able to communicate effectively with factory supervision

Responsibilities

• Build or assemble non-electrified and electrified components by following the specified directions from the job paperwork
• Required to test and initial electrified components for function
• Submit requests for replacement tooling or supplies
• Debug and trouble shoot electrical problems
• Complete inventory cycle counts as needed
• Ensure all documents are filled out completely
• All other duties as assigned by management
