About The Position

Join the NOVA Automation team! We’re a fast-paced, innovative industrial automation company based in Denver, Colorado, where creativity and collaboration drive everything we do. At NOVA, we design and build cutting-edge systems—and we’re looking for a Mechanical & Electrical Assembler who’s excited to roll up their sleeves and be part of something hands-on. In this role, you’ll assemble mechanical and electrical components and systems with precision and care, working from technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions. You’ll use hand and power tools to bring our machines to life, ensuring every build meets the highest standards for quality, safety, and performance.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow proper safety protocols.
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and blueprints.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and mechanical equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Good literacy & numeracy skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good teamwork.
  • Good recording skills.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Electrical assembly knowledge.
  • Forklift operator experience
  • Ability to meet deadlines with limited supervision.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.
  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Technical training or schooling.
  • 7+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical assembly or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with production software

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all safety guidelines and use all Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings to assemble products and subassemblies.
  • Assemble mechanical parts, components, and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Assemble electrical parts, components, panels, and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Perform fitting, alignment, and adjustment of mechanical parts.
  • Conduct inspections of completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues during the assembly process.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with engineers and quality control teams to resolve assembly issues.
  • Record production data and complete documentation as required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring that assembled parts and products meet quality standards and troubleshooting any issues that arise
  • To maintain an awareness and observation of Fire, Security, and Health and Safety Regulations.
  • To carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the job.
  • To work in other departments and locations as and when required.
  • To be prepared to work outside normal working hours, including weekends sometimes at short notice.
  • Performs other duties as needed to drive to the vision, fulfill the mission and abide by the values of the organization.
