About The Position

Ronald Mark Associates (RMA) is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician responsible for carrying out installations, maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems and electronic features of industrial equipment and machines. The role ensures the safe and efficient operation of electrical machinery and systems. This position involves collaborating on maintaining and implementing innovative control systems for various machinery applications in thermoplastic manufacturing and driving strategic projects to ensure manufacturing reliability and efficiency through traditional automation and newer data/AI-driven tools.

Requirements

At least 3 years of proven work experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment with outstanding troubleshooting and technical aptitude.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
Proficient in the National Electrical Code and local regulations.
Basic knowledge in automation controls - ability to follow basic PLC code, ladder logic and sensor setups.
Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with a self-starter attitude.
Ability to work under stress and ascend stairs and ladders.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to interact well with superiors and team members.

Nice To Haves

Completion of an electrical apprenticeship is preferred.
Certification as an Electrical Technician is a plus.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
Perform replacement on diagnosed faulty electrical elements of machine including motors, relays, and switches; and set-up sensing mechanism, utilizing hand tools.
Carry out diagnosis and correct or replace malfunctioning electronic units like the printed circuit boards.
Carry out diagnosis and ensure replacement of pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic components of equipment and machines which are faulty.
Set up power supply, conduit, and wiring for currently installed equipment and machines, including programmable controllers, while adhering to blueprints, electrical ethics, utilizing voltage tester and hand tools.
Testing and validating a control system change before full deployment.
Maintaining records of all maintenance and repair works on Brightly asset management system.
Build and implement routine and predictive maintenance schedules for electrical, automation and mechanical hardware to reduce downtime.
Provide technical support and training to the operators / end-users for existing equipment and new equipment.
Make repairs to production equipment as required or directed.
Perform preventative maintenance as assigned.
Maintain a safe and orderly production equipment area.
All other duties as assigned by the Plant Engineer.
