About The Position

Leggett & Platt Inc. is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join its Maintenance team and support its Flooring Products business. The business manufactures and distributes foam-, rubber-, and fiber-based flooring underlayment for residential and commercial use. In this role, you will help keep manufacturing equipment running safely and efficiently as part of a collaborative, hands-on team focused on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Preventive maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.

Nice To Haves

• Technical certification, apprenticeship, or formal electrical training.
• Experience with PLCs, conveyors, robotics, or automated equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical and electronic systems.
• Install and repair motors, controls, wiring, sensors, relays, and other electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Diagnose and replace faulty electrical components.
• Assist with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs as needed.
• Support safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
