The Electrical Maintenance Technician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring, circuits, outlets, lighting, and equipment rated from low voltage to 480 volts. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing motors, transformers, panels, disconnects, and lighting systems. The technician will also install and maintain low-voltage systems such as fire alarms, security systems, intercoms, and building automation controls. Additionally, they will maintain and repair school clocks and timing systems, perform predictive maintenance, and replace or repair faulty wiring, switches, fixtures, and components. The position also includes assisting with electrically controlled door hardware and ensuring all work complies with relevant codes. Collaboration with other maintenance teams and utilizing a digital system for building repairs are also key aspects of the role.
