About The Position

Assists in maintaining County owned buildings, grounds, and equipment to preserve the buildings and to provide a safe and healthy environment for employee and clients.

Requirements

• Ability to follow both verbal and written directions
• Ability to read and follow instructions to operate equipment
• Considerable knowledge of electrical systems and components and at least 4 years of working on said systems
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, access to dependable transportation
• High school graduate or GED. Must have valid driver’s license.
• Licensed Electrician – 4 years experience.
• Employment is dependent on background check, criminal history, and drug screen.
• Applicant must complete County application form.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain the plumbing, heating, electrical, and air-conditioning systems in county owned buildings
• Maintain landscaping
• Perform custodial work as needed
• Maintain sidewalks i.e., snow and ice removal
• Maintain exterior of buildings
• Paint and recondition offices
• Maintain daily work records
• Operate power equipment
