About The Position

Xyant Technology is hiring an onsite Electrical Maintenance Technician in Georgetown, Kentucky, for a full-time, direct-hire position. The role follows 12-hour shifts from 7:00 to 7:20, with day or night shifts available. The schedule is described as working four days during Week 1 and three days during Week 2, or roughly half the month. Overtime is paid after 36 or 40 hours, and night-shift differential may be up to $3.00 per hour.

The technician installs, tests, and repairs electrical plant machinery and support equipment, including switchgear, motors, and transformers. The role also involves programming and troubleshooting industrial controls and equipment, diagnosing electrical and related systems, interpreting schematics, and ensuring work complies with applicable electrical codes. The work takes place in a non-temperature-controlled, dirty graphite-facility environment.

Requirements

• Experience with low- and high-voltage systems and industrial electrical systems.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Must pass a hair follicle drug test and complete a background check, physical, and E-Verify.
• Must be flexible to work day or night 12-hour shifts, including overtime, weekends, and shutdowns.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work in a non-temperature-controlled, dirty graphite-facility environment.

• Technical knowledge of welding and machining.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and repair electrical plant machinery and support equipment, including switchgear, motors, and transformers.
• Write, program, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs, Kawasaki robots, servo drives, CNC machines, and HMI applications.
• Diagnose and repair electrical circuits, hydraulics, pneumatics, and network/Ethernet protocols.
• Read electrical schematics and ensure work meets local, state, and National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations.
