M.C. Dean is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician 3 for their Honolulu, HI location. This role is responsible for ensuring the peak efficiency of all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within mission-critical facilities. The technician will perform planned preventative maintenance, daily corrective work, and emergency response, acting as a focal point for facility operations and support. A key aspect of this role is maintaining over 99.999% uptime for facility equipment supporting mission-critical servers. The position involves providing assistance and oversight to junior technicians and contractors, analyzing system requirements, recommending modifications, and installing new units or replacement parts according to specifications and safety guidelines. The role requires utilizing safe working practices, including lockout/tagout and MSDS, and maintaining good housekeeping. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting and repairing electronic units, printed circuit boards, sensing mechanisms, and advanced electrical circuits. Maintenance, installations, and service repairs on critical data center systems and industrial electrical equipment are essential, ensuring efficient operation. The technician will use test equipment like infrared scanners and vibration analyzers for diagnostics and log activities in CMMS. Daily walk-throughs to document parameters such as power availability, temperature, and humidity are required, along with monitoring and adjusting site BAS. The role involves managing mechanical and electrical systems during emergencies, including HVAC, power distribution, generator systems, load transfer and control systems, UPS systems, DC power systems, and fire and life safety systems. Identifying required materials and parts, preparing cost estimates, and maintaining vendor relationships are also key duties. The technician will schedule, coordinate, and oversee critical environment vendors, operate electrical data capturing devices, create and review MOPs and SOPs, and generate field service reports. Developing reliability reports to identify areas for efficiency improvements and conducting training for junior technicians are also part of the role.
