The Journeyman - Electrical is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining systems or structures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and providing guidance to other service techs. Requirements

High school diploma or GED, equivalent work experience and trade or technical school classes.
Valid journeyman's license or certification in the relevant specialty trade.
4+ years of experience in the electrical industry preferred and hands-on field experience in commercial refrigeration, electrical and/or fixtures construction.
Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and machinery related to the trade.
Strong understanding of building codes, safety standards, and industry regulations.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.
Ability to use typical business tools including E-Mail, Word, Excel, etc.
Regularly required to walk and stand for long periods, hear, drive, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, use hands and fingers.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Interpreting blueprints as needed by foreman to ensure a timely and quality completion of the project.
Coordinating and following job schedules, including labor hours and material costs.
Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems.
Wiring installations.
Working with refrigeration systems and piping of refrigeration equipment.
Working with plumbing and pipe fittings, and piping refrigeration equipment.
Reading blueprints on refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing.
Using hand and power tools and demonstrating good mechanical skills.
Ensuring jobsite safety and overseeing work activities to ensure safe work practices and safety rule compliance.
Working with minimal supervision.

Performing other duties as assigned.
