Internship - Electrical
About The Position
Shive-Hattery’s electrical internship offers hands-on experience intended to deepen knowledge and understanding of the profession. Interns are treated as full-time staff members and work on actual client projects, with contributions that directly affect the company and the community. The experience is designed to build professional skills and strengthen a portfolio. Each intern is paired with a mid-to-senior-level employee who serves as a mentor. The informal, one-on-one mentoring relationship provides a supportive setting to discuss career goals and aspirations and complements academic learning through professional relationship-building. Electrical interns work on a variety of project types and gain insight into the profession, collaborative teamwork, and serving client needs.
Responsibilities
- Work on a variety of electrical project types and actual client projects.
- Collaborate with others and contribute to projects serving client needs and the community.
- Participate in a one-on-one mentoring relationship and discuss career goals and aspirations.
