About The Position

This role is responsible for supporting safety efforts within the department and participating in programs and systems to promote a safety culture. The technician will install electrical equipment, instrumentation, and related equipment using drawings and manuals, including PLC, DCS, MCC, Field Instruments, Control Panels, Valves, HVAC, Lighting, UPS, Transformers, Motors, Conduit, and Cables. Responsibilities also include overhauling, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on instrumentation and electrical equipment. The technician will maintain accurate records of work performed, time spent, and materials used. Additionally, they will recommend and implement improvements for maintenance to lower costs, enhance equipment performance and reliability, and improve personnel safety. The role ensures all maintenance practices comply with State and Federal environmental regulations and promptly adheres to site quality system databases (CPAR, Customer Complaints, QSA, etc.). The technician must understand, support, and strictly adhere to site standards, policies, and procedures related to safety, industrial hygiene, security/CTPAT requirements, and environmental compliance.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required
• Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and one-year related experience; or 3 or more years of E&I process manufacturing experience with trade school diploma/certification desired.
• Basic working knowledge of the Materials Management and Production Planning modules in SAP
• Proficiency in Excel and Word Processing software (Microsoft Office, including Access)

• Keeping accurate records of work performed, time spent on jobs, and materials used.
• Recommending and implementing improvement ideas/methods for maintenance to lower costs and to improve equipment performance and reliability, and personnel safety.
• Ensuring all maintenance practices are in compliance with State and Federal environmental regulations.
• Promptly and timely complying with site’s quality system databases (CPAR, Customer Complaints, QSA, etc.).
• Understanding, supporting, and strictly adhering to site standards, policies, and procedures relevant to safety, industrial hygiene, security/CTPAT requirements, and environmental.
