About The Position

Performs various tasks associated with the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical power and control systems. Assists in the maintenance of electrical systems throughout the plant, including troubleshooting and repair of LV/MV motors and motor controls, repair of LV/MV switchgear, PLC troubleshooting and programming, and instrumentation repair. Assists with preventative maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment, and works with contractor personnel. Suggests programs that reduce/contain costs and/or increase productivity. Takes independent actions to resolve problems when appropriate. Participates in formal and on-the-job training programs to acquire/broaden technical and non-technical job skills, and participates in cross-training activities. Interacts with members of Process Areas regularly to gather or communicate information and solve problems. Follows all safety procedures, checks for safety hazards, and takes corrective action to eliminate them. Adheres to plant environmental policies and maintains a clean and orderly work area. Participates in team meetings and applies skills in other positions as assigned. Works rotating shifts or on-call schedules and weekends as assigned. Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas, and promotes a culture of safety by exhibiting these behaviors.

Requirements

High School diploma/GED.
2-4 years of experience or equivalent education.
General knowledge of electrical theory including electrical safety theory is required.
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
