About The Position

The Electrical & Instrumentation Technician Internship provides community college, career technical education (CTE) students, and veterans with hands-on experience supporting the electrical and instrumentation systems at a modern wastewater treatment facility. Interns work directly with VVWRA’s E&I team on maintenance, calibration, and documentation tasks while learning industry-standard safety and operational practices. The internship is intended for people interested in industrial automation, electrical technology, and process control within a public utility. The 100-hour paid internship runs February 16 through April 18, 2027, two days per week, at the Victor Valley Wastewater Reclamation Authority in Victorville, California. College credit will be available through Victor Valley College if selected. Interns gain exposure to shop and field environments at an active treatment facility, with supervised activities conducted under strict electrical and confined-space safety protocols.
