About The Position

Amteck is hiring an Electrical Helper for a local service role based in Dyersburg, Tennessee. The position supports Journeyman Electricians, foremen, and project leadership on commercial and industrial electrical construction and service work. Candidates should live within a reasonable commuting distance of Dyersburg and be available for local projects. The role is suited to a dependable, safety-minded person who is eager to learn and grow a long-term career in the electrical trade. Hands-on experience and the opportunity to enroll in Amteck’s accredited apprenticeship program support skill development, including in low voltage, controls, process work, and fire alarm.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of electrical experience on commercial or industrial job sites.
• Experience running and bending Rigid and EMT conduit.
• Experience working alongside a Journeyman Electrician.
• Ability to follow directions, work safely, and contribute as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and ability to commute locally to projects.

Nice To Haves

• OSHA 10 certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision and direction of Journeyman Electricians, foremen, and other field leadership.
• Assist with assigned electrical construction and service tasks within assessed skill level.
• Support the installation, routing, and bending of Rigid and EMT conduit.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and follow company and jobsite safety requirements.
• Build skills through hands-on experience and the opportunity to enroll in Amteck’s accredited apprenticeship program.
• Develop additional skills in areas such as low voltage, controls, process work, and fire alarm.
