We are looking for an experienced Electrical First Line Supervisor / Planner to join our Yerkes site in Buffalo, NY—someone who is energized by leading teams, driving reliability, and making a tangible difference on the plant floor. As a Electrical First Line Supervisor / Planner, you will play a critical role in maximizing equipment reliability and workforce productivity. You will lead frontline maintenance teams, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of daily work while driving continuous improvement across the site. You’ll connect people, processes, and technology—anticipating challenges, eliminating delays, and ensuring your team has everything needed to succeed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in maintenance or skilled trades
  • Associate’s degree required
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Experience building and driving preventative maintenance programs
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Experience with SAP or similar systems for maintenance planning and tracking
  • Familiarity with tools such as ETQ, Cority, Workday, or similar systems
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead & Develop Talent: Coach and mentor skilled technicians, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Oversee daily maintenance activities to minimize downtime and optimize plant performance
  • Plan & Execute: Coordinate labor, materials, tools, and permits to ensure seamless execution of maintenance work
  • Prioritize for Impact: Make real-time decisions to balance safety, reliability, and production needs
  • Enhance Safety Culture: Champion and enforce safety programs—ensuring every task is completed safely and responsibly
  • Respond & Solve: Lead response to maintenance issues and emergencies with urgency and precision
  • Collaborate Broadly: Partner with production teams, contractors, and vendors to deliver innovative solutions and improve reliability
