Electrical Engineering Technician IV
About The Position
Under liberal supervision, assists with setting up, checking, and correcting operational and experimental electrical machinery, circuitry, and equipment. Tests complete prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions. Analyzes data and recommends modifications to components or test procedures to meet desired specifications. Devises, fabricates, and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies. Reviews project instructions and specifications to identify, modify and plan requirements for fabrication, assembly and testing. Records test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data. Helps prepare proposals and cost estimates, and workload to establish completion dates.
Requirements
- High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 8 years related experience.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Expert knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

- A two year degree or equivalent is preferred.
