About The Position

The Electrical Engineering Lead will implement, test, troubleshoot and improve electronic automation and control systems to increase production quality, efficiency and volume. The role requires specialist-level expertise in the discipline and broad knowledge of other disciplines within the function. The position contributes to functional strategy, provides expert thought leadership, works with limited direction, and may direct supporting team members as a strategic contributor. The position is open to remote work and is in Cargill’s Food Enterprise, which serves food manufacturers, food service customers and retailers with ingredients and branded products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least six years of related work experience.
• Specialist-level expertise in the discipline and broad knowledge of other disciplines within the function.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of functional strategy.
• Develop and define control system applications for machinery and equipment using relevant technologies or platforms.
• Check control system schematics and specifications, using software and testing equipment to diagnose and resolve system malfunctions.
• Provide expert thought leadership in the field and identify issues or problems through research and interpretation, working with limited direction.
• Provide direction to supporting team members as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
