About The Position

This posting is for Summer 2027 Internship opportunities. IMEG is hiring an Electrical Engineering Intern in Las Vegas, NV to support engineering analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems in buildings. Over 10-12 weeks, you will work closely with experienced engineers and consultants while contributing to active project work. In this role, you will assist with design coordination, documentation, and project support while working within project budgets and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations. You will support hospitality-focused building systems work in a team known for renovation, tenant-improvement, and specialty MEP projects.

Requirements

  • Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required
  • Strong interest in design consulting
  • Previous exposure to CAD and/or BIM software
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with design portions of electrical systems for building projects according to code and IMEG standards
  • Assist with researching commercially available equipment
  • Assist with maintaining client relations, project design notebooks, and documentation for permanent record files
  • Assist with coordinating design and schedule with other disciplines, including architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliers
  • Assist with documenting design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project design progress
  • Assist with reviewing project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check
  • Assist with preparing and issuing addendum information
  • Conduct periodic job site observations and other services required by the contract services agreement
