About The Position

A multi-disciplinary team is hiring an Electrical Engineering Director for its growing Detroit team. The director will lead the electrical team on public and private development projects, help build the team, contribute to business development, and ensure design quality. The role involves working with clients, authorities having jurisdiction, other professionals, and in-house teams. Salary is commensurate with experience. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• 12+ years of electrical design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience in a leadership role.
• Experience designing multiple types of buildings, including architectural and industrial projects.
• Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Broad experience in power, lighting, fire alarm, and voice/data design.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Experience on healthcare projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical team in designing public and private development projects.
• Recruit new team members to build a strong team.
• Assist with business development.
• Attend project and client interviews.
• Interact with other in-house teams.
• Attend meetings with clients, authorities having jurisdiction, and other professionals.
• Ensure QA/QC standards are met by reviewing designs prepared by others.
