About The Position

ITW’s Warewash Business Division is seeking an engineering co-op for its Troy, Ohio location, about 20 minutes north of Dayton. The division produces Hobart commercial dishwashers for settings including hotels, restaurants, health care, schools, cruise ships, and retail. The co-op will be assigned various engineering projects and will gain practical experience supporting electrical engineering work on embedded products and commercial food equipment. This role is intended for college seniors pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering who expect to graduate in May 2027.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Basic understanding of electrical circuit analysis and schematics gained through coursework, projects, or previous internship experience.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering analysis, testing, and design activities using engineering tools and software.
• Work hands-on with embedded products, including touch screens, display panels, PCB assemblies, displays, and PLCs.
• Assist with digital and analog circuit design, prototyping, testing, debugging, and wiring harness development.
• Assist with product validation and regulatory certification activities, including UL, NSF, and ENERGY STAR requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and product management teams.
• As needed, visit manufacturing facilities, suppliers, or customer locations.
• Perform hands-on technical work such as crimping, using hand tools, panel assembly, and general electrical and mechanical assembly.
