About The Position

Kimley-Horn is seeking Electrical Engineering graduates to join their Saint Louis Park, MN office. This role involves utilizing technical software for analysis and deliverable production, solving complex problems, assisting project managers, and collaborating across disciplines. Analysts will develop familiarity with relevant regulations and company standards. The electrical teams work on diverse projects including building MEP, photometrics and lighting, power distribution, renewable energy, EV charging, security and communications, and industrial controls. Responsibilities also include assisting with technical specification and report writing, and electrical equipment cost research. Opportunities for exposure to solar/energy projects (battery storage, PV) and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) design are available.

Requirements

  • An ABET accredited Electrical Engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2027.

Nice To Haves

  • Gain exposure to Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Design – traffic operations centers, sensors, message signs, closed circuit TV cameras (CCTV), fiber optic networks

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients
  • Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment
  • Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards
  • Assist with technical specification and report writing electrical equipment cost research
