About The Position

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location. The Electrical Engineer we are looking to hire will design and interact with shop floor personnel to alleviate Electrical Engineering issues that may arise in the manufacture of electrical insulation systems. Will also assist in the design of electro-mechanical components and insulation systems used in pumps, motors and generators.

Requirements

Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens
Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearances and approvals
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required
3+ years’ experience in Electrical Engineering ideally involved with rotating equipment and insulation systems

Nice To Haves

Working background in Chemistry preferred
Working knowledge of Electric Motor design tools is highly desired

Responsibilities

Interact and work with shop personnel to resolve production insulation issues in our manufacturing facility
Prepare schedules for accomplishing tasks within estimates
Create documents and reports to publish and present technical information
Work with highly technical teams to design and analyze products for development and production
Assess insulation designs, and conduct tests like partial discharge (pd), voltage endurance, and thermal endurance
Assist in creating insulation issues, gauge designs, and predict insulation performance and life evaluations
Develop insulation projects and mitigate problems by managing experiments to collect data, interpreting the results and coordinating solutions
