About The Position

The Electrical Engineering Development Program (EEDP) is a multi-year rotational experience designed for early-career engineers who want to build a strong foundation in electrical engineering while exploring diverse career paths within Teledyne LeCroy. Year 1 focuses on learning products and supporting internal teams and external customers in real-world applications. This includes providing technical support for test and measurement products, collaborating with customer service, working hands-on with electronics applications, interfacing with product managers and design engineers, and learning to differentiate Teledyne LeCroy products. After the first year, engineers transition into customized development paths based on interests and strengths, with options in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Design Engineering, Product Marketing, and Sales Engineering. Each rotation provides meaningful experience to prepare for a long-term role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with a minor in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools, Python, MATLAB, VisualBasic, or VisualC++
  • Strong interest in electronics and hands-on problem solving.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills; ability to create and support technical documentation.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work collaboratively.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for training and customer visits.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to integration software (LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI) and remote control protocols (GPIB, USB, LAN, LXI) is helpful

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for test and measurement products (oscilloscopes and arbitrary waveform generators) via phone, email, customer visits, trade shows, and training courses.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service and Repair Service teams to ensure seamless support.
  • Work hands-on with electronics applications and measurement techniques.
  • Interface with Product Managers, Sales Engineers, and Design Engineering to resolve customer issues and improve product experience.
  • Learn to differentiate Teledyne LeCroy products from competitors and articulate technical advantages.
  • Focus on production processes, quality, and efficiency (Manufacturing Engineering rotation).
  • Contribute to circuit design, prototyping, and new product development (Electrical Design Engineering rotation).
  • Support go-to-market strategies, competitive analysis, and customer engagement (Product Marketing rotation).
  • Drive technical sales initiatives and customer solutions (Sales Engineering rotation).
