About The Position

This position requires the candidate to be eligible for a Secret clearance. The role involves at least two years of relevant problem-solving experience in areas such as electronics and circuits theory. The engineer will be expected to read schematics, board layouts, and datasheets, and utilize common hardware debugging tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and signal generators. A working knowledge of industry standards in electronic design and fabrication is necessary, along with good interpersonal and communication skills. The engineer will provide support to other company personnel, working both independently and as part of a group, and may assist on special projects as needed. Data analysis will also be a part of the role.

Requirements

Must be eligible for a Secret clearance.
At least two years of relevant problem solving experience.
Electronics and circuits theory.
Ability to read schematics, board layouts, and datasheets.
Ability to use common hardware debugging tools such as: oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and signal generators.
Working knowledge of industry standards in electronic design and fabrication.
Good interpersonal skills.
Effective communicator.
Strong understanding of the fundamentals of digital signal processing with a focus on radio frequency and software defined radios.
Significant knowledge and demonstrated experience in designing and applying digital filters to incoming and outgoing signals, implementing filters in hardware and software, and making rapid judgments regarding the evaluation, design and creation of sensors and communication systems.
Ability to work in multiple programming languages including but not limited to C, C++, JAVA, Python, JavaScript, C#.
Client/server programming on both ends.
Graphical User Interface development.
Embedded programming in Linux and Arduino/C.
Ability to create customized code to perform data harvesting, processing, exploitation and formatting.
Ability to work code solutions which utilize data from multiple sites, sensors and/or data types.
Must be able to successfully work in high tempo environment creating efficient well documented and successful coding solutions resolving unique issues.
Good writing skills, as there may be a requirement to write reports.
Degree of judgment and multi-tasking associated with performing job duties.
Contact with the customer/provide customer support (may be internal or external customer).
BS degree required.

Experience Reverse engineering hardware and software solutions is desired.

Responsibilities

Provide support to other company personnel.

Provide technical advice to government project managers and engineers in support of rapid prototyping activities.
Process, exploit, analyze and report results from tests, demonstrations and evaluations to aide in determining sensor/system overall effectiveness.
Work with existing software (both COTS and GOTS) tied to sensor packages and payloads to address complex integration activities so as to resolve software and hardware interoperability and compatibility challenges.
Support and participate in field tests and operational demonstration activities.
Create customized code to perform data harvesting, processing, exploitation and formatting.
Utilize data from multiple sites, sensors and/or data types.
Provide software programming and testing support from marine vessels while at sea.
Operate marine equipment such as winches and davits onboard vessels at sea.
Provide deck hand and swimmer services for deploying and retrieving equipment in the water.
Create efficient well documented and successful coding solutions resolving unique issues.
Participates in trade studies to solve technical problems and identify preferred solutions.
Participates in technical reviews to assess project progress from design through development and delivery.
Serves as a team member on Division wide, multidisciplinary efforts that involve critical IT issues.
Complies with CCAFS industrial hygiene requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned to accomplish the ATl5 mission.
Communicate clearly with clients in order to explain the progress and results of the work to them.
