About The Position

The Electrical Engineer supports Service and service upgrade design projects, handling small-scale designs with guidance. The role also participates in New Product Development Service Readiness and performs Change Originator/Analyst duties. The position involves designing and documenting service upgrade kits and component substitutes, coordinating with production, field support, technical teams, vendors, and suppliers, and supporting product changes and service readiness. The work takes place in an office environment, with some exposure to manufacturing and laboratory environments where personal protective equipment may be required. Minimal domestic travel of less than 10% is expected.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a directly related degree.
An associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology with 4 years of experience may be considered.
Good planning, organizing, documentation, and communication skills.
Team-oriented.
Skilled in personal computer use and applications such as spreadsheets, CAD, Microsoft Office Suite, CREO, and communications tools.

Nice To Haves

Oracle PLM experience is preferred.
Basic ERP navigation is a plus.

Responsibilities

Support the design of Service upgrade kits and component substitutes.
Create drawings for upgrade kits, including installation and packaging instructions.
Create bills of materials (BOMs) for new upgrade kits.
Create or revise product documentation using CAD, Solid Edge, Agile EC, and Oracle PLM systems.
Work with Production and Field associates to provide direction when needed.
Review and approve Engineering changes in Oracle PD Cloud.
Initiate Engineering Change Requests.
Provide training and escalated support to technical support team members during upgrade kit releases.
Support New Product Development for service readiness and participate in projects as necessary.
Interact daily with Technical and internal and external Field Support teams.
Interact with outside vendors and suppliers as needed to obtain quotes and other required information.
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve internal standard operating procedures.
Interact daily with cross-functional teams to diagnose problems such as product concerns.
