About The Position

The Electrical Engineer supports Service activities, upgrade design projects, and small-scale designs with guidance. The role also contributes to New Product Development Service Readiness and performs Change Originator/Analyst duties. It involves developing service upgrade kits and component substitutes, maintaining product documentation and engineering changes, and working with internal teams, field personnel, and external suppliers.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a directly related degree.
An associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology with four years of experience is considered.
Good planning, organizing, documentation, and communication skills.
Team-oriented.
Skilled in personal computer use and applications such as spreadsheets, CAD, Microsoft Office Suite, CREO, and communications software.

Nice To Haves

Oracle PLM experience preferred.
Basic ERP navigation is a plus.

Responsibilities

Support the design of Service upgrade kits and component substitutes.
Create drawings for upgrade kits, including installation and packaging instructions.
Create bills of materials (BOMs) for new upgrade kits.
Create or revise product documentation using CAD, Solid Edge, Agile EC, and Oracle PLM systems.
Work with Production and Field associates to provide direction when needed.
Review and approve engineering changes in Oracle PD Cloud.
Initiate Engineering Change Requests.
Provide training and escalated support to technical support team members during upgrade kit releases.
Support New Product Development Service Readiness and participate in projects as necessary.
Interact daily with Technical and internal and external Field Support teams.
Work with outside vendors and suppliers as needed to obtain quotes and other required information.
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve internal standard operating procedures.
Interact daily with cross-functional teams to diagnose problems such as product concerns.
