About The Position

The Electrical Engineer supports electrical hardware design, integration, and programming of control systems for chillers, heat rejection equipment, and related products. Working under the guidance of senior engineering staff, this role implements well-defined tasks across controls hardware, controllers, displays, software, testing, and documentation. The position supports new product development for chillers and heat rejection equipment—including dry coolers, adiabatic coolers, and condensers—used in data center and commercial applications. It contributes to electrical design documentation, component selection support, bill of materials creation, prototype build support, and verification activities under senior engineers’ guidance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience; internship, co-op, or project experience is acceptable.
  • Exposure to 2D CAD; AutoCAD is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of electrical wiring practices, instrumentation signals, and safe work practices.
  • Ability to create and maintain bills of materials.
  • Clear written communication and documentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and collaborative, with a hands-on troubleshooting mindset and willingness to learn.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with control panels, instrumentation or sensors, VFDs, compressors, fans, or pump systems.
  • Exposure to chillers, heat rejection equipment such as dry coolers, cooling towers, and condensers, HVAC or refrigeration systems, or data center equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Support electrical design for power distribution, control panels, instrumentation and sensors, and VFD, compressor, fan, and pump interfaces in shippable chiller and heat rejection units.
  • Create and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts or GA drawings, and cable schedules using AutoCAD or similar CAD tools.
  • Build and maintain bills of materials, including part documentation, alternates, and revision updates.
  • Support prototype and pilot builds by verifying wiring, assisting with troubleshooting wiring issues, and documenting corrections.
  • Contribute to test documentation, including FAT/SAT checklists, test procedures such as unit run and performance tests, and inputs to O&M documentation.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, and controls teams and maintain clear, detailed engineering documentation.

Benefits

  • Medical, vision, and dental plans.
  • Short-term and long-term disability insurance.
  • Group term life insurance coverage.
  • HSA, FSA, and Dependent Care plans available.
