Electrical Engineer

About The Position

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing electrical control systems for oil and gas downhole tools and surface control systems. This includes designing magnetic devices, performing PCB/PCA layout, preparing technical reports, and collaborating with other disciplines for system integration. The role also involves troubleshooting production test equipment, supporting manufacturing lines, ensuring compliance with regulations, performing maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical equipment, and conducting risk assessments.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • Experience with electrical design (analog and digital circuits) and control systems.
  • Proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Electrical Systems design.
  • Experience with embedded firmware (using C and assembly) for Microchip product suite.
  • Experience with hardware simulation tools (power and signal integrity, electromagnetics, thermal management, etc).
  • Experience with Matlab and LabView.
  • Altium or similar PCB design experience.
  • Ability to apply basic soldering (SMT and thru-hole).
  • Version Control using GitHub.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and record that conforms to the Company’s insurance policies, ATF, DOT, and State regulations.
  • Authorized to work in the United States (student visa is not acceptable).

  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare technical reports and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines for oil and gas systems integration.
  • Work on troubleshooting production test equipment.
  • Support manufacturing production lines with tool performance and testing.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting/repair of electrical equipment.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
