About The Position

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for investigating project feasibility, scope, schedule, and budget. This role involves creating scopes of work, bid packages, and project specifications, as well as reviewing technical drawings and providing feedback. The engineer will evaluate electrical power systems and ensure compliance with local and national codes, collaborating with third-party Safety Compliance Contractors. Responsibilities also include evaluating power distribution, breaker sizing, Amp draw, SCCR, and panel loading, and specifying/confirming electrical components for industrial equipment. The role requires collaboration with multiple groups for design and installation to meet project milestones, and supervision of contractors in green-field or brown-field environments. Coordination with skilled trades, affiliate companies, engineers, and equipment manufacturers is essential, along with developing countermeasures for project delays to ensure timely completion.

Requirements

  • BS In Engineering, Technical Trader Certification or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years project management
  • Microsoft Office Software proficient
  • Bid Spec development, Contractor negotiation
  • 2+ years Technical Drawing experience
  • 2+ years Industrial Power Distribution/System Design

  • Toyota project management experience
  • Automotive paint process experience
  • AutoCAD proficient
  • Ability to understand and calculate utility cost
  • Understanding of PLC operation & programming (Toyopuc, Omron, Allen-Bradley)
