Electrical Engineer Technician

TorusSouth Salt Lake, UT
$25 - $40Onsite

About The Position

At Torus, the distance between a new idea and a working system runs directly through this role. As an Electrical Engineering Technician, you turn engineering concepts into physical reality. You’ll wire prototypes, assemble flywheels and battery storage systems, and build the custom fixtures that make production possible. When the engineering team needs to move fast, your skill and judgment are what keep pace. The energy infrastructure Torus is building will serve communities into the future, and it starts with people who can pick up a schematic, grab the tools, and make it work. Who You Are You care about work that matters. The idea of building energy systems that protect communities and stabilize the grid isn't a nice-to-have, it's why you're here. You say what you think, directly and early. You don't bury the lead, you don't wait for permission to raise a problem, and you give feedback the same way you'd want to receive it. You move fast without cutting corners. You know the difference between speed that creates momentum and speed that creates rework. You hold both standards at once. You own your work end to end. You don't hand things over the fence. You follow through, ask questions when something's unclear, and take responsibility when something's off. Strong opinions, loosely held. You're optimistic about hard problems. You advocate for what you believe is right and keep an open mind when collaborators suggest reasons for a change. You think in systems. You understand that your work connects to other people's work, and you make decisions with that in mind. You thrive in a “fail fast” environment. You don't need a lot of management to do great work. You need clear context, good people around you, and room to figure things out. You work with a bias toward progress. You know what you're working toward, you can see the board, and you move the right things forward without waiting to be told what's next.
