Requirements

  • Minimum Education: Some College
  • Minimum Experience: Ideally 1 to 2 years in the engineering field
  • Certifications Required but Provided by UAC: Confined spaces certification; Crane certification; Fall protection certification; Forklift certification; Lock-out/Tag-out certification; Pallet jack certification
  • Physically able to stand, bend, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • All UAC employees must know and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety trainings, proactively promote safety at work, and promptly report actual and potential accidents and injuries. Employees must understand the PPE and wear it properly.
  • UAC has a responsibility to comply with all applicable requirements set forth by International Traffic Arms Regulations (ITAR). This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder) Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and comply with all company safety, health and environmental policies, rules and regulations
  • Will train along staff, to learn about: Three phase electrical circuits; motors and motor control circuits Electrical schematics; programmable logic controllers Variable frequency drives; NFPA 70E and NEC
  • May assist with: Engineering documentation of machinery Installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery, and electrical and electronic equipment Furnishing tools, materials, and supplies to other workers.
  • Cleaning work area, machines, and tools
  • Performs other required duties as needed in addition to the essential responsibilities described above
