Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited engineering program
  • Professional Engineer License
  • 3+ years’ experience working with, interpreting, designing, and/or preparing Electrical Engineering documents including: NEC Code, Solar systems, Battery Storage systems, EV Charging systems, Utility interconnection for Distributed Generation (Behind and Front of the Meter), utility scale a plus
  • Effective problem-solving and evaluation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proficient software user including: AutoCAD, ETAP, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, Modeling Software: PVSYST - Helioscope, Other engineering design software

Nice To Haves

  • Engineer in Training willing to obtain license within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Electrical Engineering technical designs and design templates for renewable energy installations
  • Provide due diligence efforts and interpretations of designs by others
  • Prepare the basis of design analysis and review
  • Interface with other technical disciplines
  • Prepare engineering design and construction documents
  • Improve the Electrical Engineering design processes through collaboration
  • Travel for site inspection, evaluation, and viability analyses
  • Attend and participate in project-related meetings
