Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited engineering program
- Professional Engineer License
- 3+ years’ experience working with, interpreting, designing, and/or preparing Electrical Engineering documents including: NEC Code, Solar systems, Battery Storage systems, EV Charging systems, Utility interconnection for Distributed Generation (Behind and Front of the Meter), utility scale a plus
- Effective problem-solving and evaluation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficient software user including: AutoCAD, ETAP, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, Modeling Software: PVSYST - Helioscope, Other engineering design software
Nice To Haves
- Engineer in Training willing to obtain license within 6 months of hire
Responsibilities
- Prepare Electrical Engineering technical designs and design templates for renewable energy installations
- Provide due diligence efforts and interpretations of designs by others
- Prepare the basis of design analysis and review
- Interface with other technical disciplines
- Prepare engineering design and construction documents
- Improve the Electrical Engineering design processes through collaboration
- Travel for site inspection, evaluation, and viability analyses
- Attend and participate in project-related meetings
