About The Position

Raytheon is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to join the Airborne Radar Electronics Receiver / Exciter Hardware Design Group. The role involves working with a team of experts on various aspects of hardware design, analysis, simulation, documentation, troubleshooting, and integration. The successful candidate will contribute to the design of Special Test Equipment (STE) and support production, while interacting with various stakeholders including technicians, facilitators, managers, and other engineers.

Requirements

  • MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in testing and troubleshooting electrical circuits.
  • Experience working in a lab environment with standard EE lab equipment (i.e. Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Power Meters).
  • Experience with design Software: Keysight ADS, Sonnet EM, Ansys HFSS, AutoCAD or comparable.
  • Experience in software tools including C, C++, LabWindows CVI, Matlab.
  • Courses taken includes RF and Microwave Circuit Design.

Responsibilities

  • Circuit analysis, circuit simulation, design, documentation, trade assessments for obsolescence resolution, troubleshooting and resolution of hardware performance issues and hardware integration, test and verification.
  • Work as part of a team to design Special Test Equipment (STE) Hardware and Software Testing.
  • Work with Microwave RF circuits, Radio Frequency Assemblies (RFAs), Microwave Integrated Circuits (MICs), Integrated Microwave Assemblies (IMAs), Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) & Production support.
  • Analyze hardware specifications to determine hardware requirements.
  • Develop solutions to test issues and develop productivity and efficiency enhancements.
  • Interact with test technicians, factory facilitators, operations managers, other engineers, Quality Assurance and Reliability personnel.
