About The Position

The Electrical Engineer II - Embedded Systems Hardware designs, develops, tests, and validates MCU-based embedded hardware platforms, with a strong focus on circuit design, hardware bring-up, troubleshooting, and reference design delivery. The position collaborates with hardware, firmware, systems, test, product development, architecture, and reliability engineers to address hardware and system-level challenges. Working knowledge of embedded firmware supports MCU configuration, hardware validation, and hardware/firmware integration and debugging.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Approximately 2+ years of relevant hands-on experience.
  • Strong fundamentals in analog and digital circuit design.
  • Hands-on experience designing, bringing up, testing, and troubleshooting MCU-based embedded hardware.
  • Proficiency using laboratory instrumentation, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and power supplies.
  • Experience with schematic capture and the PCB design and layout process using ECAD tools.
  • Experience applying circuit simulation and engineering analysis to guide and validate hardware designs.
  • Working knowledge of MCU peripherals, including GPIO, timers, ADCs, and serial communication interfaces.
  • Demonstrated ability to systematically troubleshoot hardware and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience performing PCB rework and circuit modifications to support prototype bring-up, debugging, and design validation.
  • Experience using embedded C/C++ to configure MCU peripherals and support hardware bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting EMC/EMI testing, troubleshooting results, and implementing design improvements.
  • Experience with embedded communication interfaces such as UART, I²C, SPI, USB, or CAN.
  • Experience evaluating and selecting MCUs, sensors, analog devices, communication ICs, or other semiconductor components.

Responsibilities
