About The Position

Boston Engineering is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 0–5 years of experience who is interested in working on embedded systems, robotics, and mixed-signal design. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team of electrical, software, and mechanical engineers to develop innovative solutions for a wide range of applications, including control systems, power conversion, and robotics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach
  • 0-5 years of experience
  • Interest in working on embedded systems, robotics, and mixed-signal design

  • Electronics design and development
  • Embedded C/C++ programming languages for microcontrollers and processors
  • Communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, and CAN
  • Hardware-software integration and debugging of embedded systems
  • FPGA programming in Verilog of VHDL
  • Wireless communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee)
  • Control systems design, including motor control, PID loops, and sensor integration
  • Knowledge of Python and/or MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and test

Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining embedded systems for hardware control, sensing, and human interface
  • Collaborating with hardware and software teams to integrate embedded systems into larger product architectures
  • Conducting system-level testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of embedded systems and control solutions
  • Working with sensor systems, communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, CAN), and embedded peripherals
  • Documenting system specifications, design procedures, and testing protocols.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and quality assurance procedures in product development
