Blissway is hiring an Electrical or Embedded Systems Engineer to develop and improve hardware and embedded systems used in its toll-collection and highway-safety platform. The role combines electrical, mechanical, and software engineering, with immediate ownership of hardware deployed on the Interstate Highway System. The engineer will improve roadside cameras, detectors, and nighttime illuminators; design circuit schematics and PCBs for hardware integrations; write on-device code to integrate sensors and support data flow to servers; and refine CAD models to make assembly faster and more robust. The role is based at Blissway’s Denver engineering office and is in-office five days a week, Monday through Friday, with occasional remote-work flexibility when needed. The company describes itself as a lean team of fewer than 30 people and expects adaptability, ownership, collaboration, and willingness to work across team boundaries. Its team survey reported an average of 55 hours per week, with occasional 70-plus-hour bursts for major releases. The interview process includes three to four interviews and a final paid work trial. Blissway offers relocation support, personalized health coverage, retirement matching, insurance, equity, paid time off and leave, team meals and events, and tuition reimbursement.
