About The Position

Perform an entry-level engineering role in the design or construction aspects of engineering projects and assist other departmental engineers. The position supports electrical engineering work and helps develop professional knowledge in substation design, electrical control systems, and protective relaying. The engineer is expected to learn the Company’s design, construction, QA/QC, safety, and document-control standards, while maintaining complete and accurate records and ensuring the quality of work performed. Travel may be required to support work.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering program.
• Entry-level; 0–1 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of the theory, practices, and procedures pertaining to electrical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform design activities requiring a basic understanding of drawings, calculations, specifications, and industry standards and practices for assigned work.
• Assist in preparing engineering drawings, calculations, cost estimates, specifications, evaluations, and requisitions.
• Develop professional work knowledge and abilities in substation design, electrical control systems, and/or protective relaying.
• Develop knowledge of the Company’s design, construction, QA/QC, and safety standards and document control system.
• Maintain complete and accurate records and ensure the quality of all work performed.
• Travel as required to support work.
• Perform other duties as required.
