Requirements

  • 1+ year(s) of professional experience; relevant internships during undergraduate will be considered.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from accredited university.
  • Proficient in the use of Computer-Aided Drafting and personal computer-based systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as individual contributor in both strategic and tactical work streams.
  • Ability to effectively communicate across a wide range of cross-functional disciplines including supply chain, quality, and manufacturing.
  • Applies mastery of skills in area of specialization
  • Ability to accurately read, interpret and produce construction industry and architectural-style blueprints, electrical schematics.
  • Drafting standards; especially electrical symbols, geometric dimensions and tolerancing.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to elevator installations.

Responsibilities

  • Under general supervision of the Modernization Engineering Manager, will provide assistance to the Modernization Team and perform the below Essential Functions.
  • Communicate across a wide range of cross-functional disciplines including supply chain, quality, and manufacturing.
  • Works under general supervision; relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals
  • Provide pre-bid and other electrical engineering assistance to modernization support team project managers and branch sales personnel.
  • Ensure that the technical solution complies with Codes, regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Work with purchasing and vendors as required procuring components for special designs.
  • Generate bills of material for manufacturing using automated and semi-automated systems.
