About The Position

Astronics-PECO is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer to support various programs under the guidance of more senior engineers. The company designs, certifies, manufactures, and sells aerospace, military, and commercial products, including aircraft interior and structural products, enhanced vision systems, and temperature-control devices. The role supports electrical design, configuration management, testing, technical reviews, and communication with internal teams and customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 0–3 years of related experience.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, employees, and the public.
• Familiarity with engineering software tools, including OrCad PCB Designer (Capture and Allegro), Altium Designer, and LTSpice packages.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment with quickly changing priorities and requirements.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work as a team player.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with aerospace standards or processes such as DO-160, DO-178, or DO-254.
• Experience with serial communication protocols such as I2C and UART.
• Experience designing complex electronic circuit assemblies to minimize RF emissions and associated issues.

Responsibilities

• Support conceptual and detailed design of analog circuits and circuits supporting digital systems, including power supplies, FPGA ICs, and microcontroller ICs.
• Prepare designs for review, analysis, and testing to verify design accuracy and suitability to requirements.
• Manage PCB/PCBA configuration, part-number assignments, bills of materials in the ERP system, version control, and component libraries.
• Operate standard laboratory equipment to perform design verification and circuit testing.
• Prepare and present technical information at design reviews.
• Serve as a technical liaison to other functional groups as required.
• Support technical inquiries from aerospace and commercial customers, channel partners, and sales organizations.
• Support electrical and environmental test programs as required by program requirements.
