About The Position

We are currently seeking an Electrical Dragline Inspector to join our maintenance team at our North Antelope Rochelle Mine (NARM). NARM is the United States largest surface coal mine and is located in Wright, Wyoming. The mine produces high quality thermal coal that is loaded onto haul trucks and then shipped by rail. It has approximately 465 million tons of coal reserves. As part of Campbell County, Wright is a safe, tight-knit community with outstanding schools, and various recreational opportunities. Peabody’s NARM Mine has a safety-first culture and strives to have zero recordable MSHA injuries/incidents.

Requirements

  • Must be an A technician level / MSHA certified electrician.
  • 5 years experience with dragline electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient knowledge and advanced skills required for installation and methodical troubleshooting techniques on draglines.
  • Advanced proficiency using sophisticated testing equipment to troubleshoot and make electrical repairs (e.g., the DATAQ).
  • Proficient experience with CRF30 and NEC.
  • Proficient with all types of network protocols used on draglines.
  • Knowledge of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Knowledge of high voltage equipment used in mining.
  • Proficiency with all necessary testing equipment.
  • Demonstrated good communication skills; must willing and able to instruct others on the technical aspects of the electrical systems.
  • High School Degree or GED Equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with different types of network equipment, fiber optics, switches, and wireless equipment and proper maintenance of them.

Responsibilities

  • Apply electrical and electronic theory and related applications knowledge to design, build, install, repair, maintain, calibrate, and modify electrical components, circuitry, programming, and control systems.
  • Provide expert level electrical troubleshooting and control systems support to mine production and maintenance operations for the draglines.
  • Visibly support and champion Peabody's Mission and Values.
  • Perform systematic maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting procedures on critical electrical equipment.
  • Use sophisticated testing equipment to troubleshoot and make electrical repairs (e.g., the DATAQ).
  • Maintain and troubleshoot all types of network equipment, fiber optics, switches, and wireless equipment.
  • Instruct others on the technical aspects of the electrical systems.
