About The Position

E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc. (E2) is seeking an Electrical Inspector to ensure proper procedures are utilized and that electricians are certified and qualified. The role involves maintaining proper documentation, including red lines, and verifying cable/gauge wire terminations and circuit completion. The inspector will also maintain records of received items, verify received material against the bill of material, and ensure components are installed in the proper orientation with correct markings/labels. Installation depth for conduit/cables must meet drawing specifications. All activities must be performed according to Company specifications and approved construction drawings.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years field-based experience providing electrical inspections on plant/station construction/modifications for natural gas transmission facilities.
  • Experience in all phases of electrical and instrumentation construction work including handling, inspection, installation, testing, commissioning, and start-up.
  • Broad knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, and control system construction, commissioning, and inspection best practices.
  • Knowledge of electrical construction inspection, quality assurance, quality control, and other safety-related construction requirements related to electrical.
  • Knowledge of typical construction grounding requirements, stray current mitigation, and other safety related construction requirements related to electrical.
  • Ability to use test meters to check the continuity of electrical circuitry and oversee contract work of this nature.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards including o NFPA 70: National Electric code.
  • 49 CFR PART 192.
  • Must possess and maintain a current, valid Driver License.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect the installation of electrical and SCADA systems and equipment.
  • Verify the electrical and SCADA installed on a system is installed per the design requirements.
  • Verify the electrical and SCADA installed on a system meets Federal, State and Local codes as well as Company Standards.
  • Verify any electricians working on a Company system are licensed for the jurisdiction in which they are performing the work.
