About The Position

E-J is seeking a Draftsperson to join its growing Engineering team in Port Washington, New York. The role works alongside engineers on projects nationwide, including commercial buildings and data centers. The Draftsperson models electrical systems and produces design drawings, layouts, sketches, and documentation for construction and prefabrication, following project specifications and direction from the project team. The position collaborates with project engineers and managers to support project deliverables and schedules.

Requirements

1–5 years of experience in a related field or industry.
Proficiency with Autodesk products such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
Basic construction knowledge and eagerness to learn more.
Proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
Highly motivated team player.

Nice To Haves

Electrical experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist Engineering staff with project deliverables to keep pace with the project schedule.
Create 3D models of electrical systems in Revit under the direction of the Project Engineer.
Create shop drawings and sketches based on the existing model.
Revise existing drawings and models based on comments from the project team.
Create prefabrication drawings to support fast-paced project delivery schedules.
