About The Position
This role involves performing basic electrical design for midstream oil and gas projects, both independently and under the guidance of experienced professionals. The project assignments will focus on designing electrical, instrument, and control drawings. The position reports to the Manager, Electrical Designer.
Requirements
- Self-starter with initiative, hard worker who can work with guidance from experienced designers and as a member of a team.
- Detailed oriented, precise, organized in handling of drawings and able to prioritize and multitask as individual.
- Able to take direction, learn standards and follow through with standard operating procedures.
- Broad computer skills and proficient in Microsoft office, Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD®, Bluebeam Revu.
- Basic understanding of electrical theory.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States as this job is ineligible for sponsorship.
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma or equivalent and community college drafting/CAD courses preferred.
Responsibilities
- Annotate and layout moderate electrical, instrument and control drawings using Kahuna pre-developed tools with direction from experienced designers and engineers.
- Assist with and review drawings of other drafters and markup as necessary to represent a functional design under the direction of experienced designers and engineers.
- Perform complex 2D modeling using Kahuna pre-developed tools with direction from experienced designers.
- Take direction, learn standards, and follow through with standard operating procedures.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of the workflow from beginning to end of a project.
- Functionally communicate technical and administrative project/task details, including correspondence via emails and general documentation.
- Organize and prepare drawings for delivery, maintaining security and confidentiality in a timely manner.
- Understand and operate Navisworks Freedom for basic integration between engineering and design.
- Demonstrate professional behavior around clients and vendors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
