About The Position

Electrical Designer 3 is responsible for the preparation and development of technical drawings and specifications of electrical systems for ground mount utility-scale solar PV power plants. This role requires an understanding of Electrical Engineering principles, along with the ability to analyze information and present it in a clear, accessible manner to guide electrical installation.

Requirements

• Minimum eight (8) years relevant work experience
• Proficiency with AutoCAD
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to produce high quality work in a fast-paced environment
• Ready and eager to learn new technologies

Nice To Haves

• AS in Technology from an ABET accredited university
• Experience with design of PV projects

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate electrical system requirements for utility-scale solar PV power plants
• Develop electrical layouts with AutoCAD
• Prepare and revise electrical plans and layouts
• Calculate material quantities for Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure design compatibility
