About The Position

This is a direct hire, fully onsite position for an Electrical Design Technician in Salem, Southern NH. The role involves debugging and design validation of board and system-level electronic designs, with a major focus on electronics design validation testing. Responsibilities include testing mechanical, electrical, and optical components, subsystems, and systems, as well as documenting experimental conditions and test results. The technician will also build prototypes and test fixtures, interface with external vendors for complex parts, and inspect incoming parts. Managing the lab and lab equipment, including calibration, is also a key part of the role. The position requires effective interaction with the technical team to foster a safe, fun, and productive work environment. Additionally, the technician will be responsible for designing and verifying cables.

Requirements

An associate’s degree and 10+ years of professional experience
Experience reworking PCBs, solder to add or remove components
Experience with at least one data acquisition system
Use of lab equipment (Oscilloscope, DVM, Function generator, soldering station, etc.)
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
Debug under the guidance of an Engineer
Attention to details
Eagerness to learn new skills and new tools
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
MSOffice tools

Altium designer
Simple mechanical machining skills
Some 3D mechanical CAD experience
Programming of motor drives
Jr. level layout and design of PCBs

Responsibilities

Debug and design validation of board and system level electronic designs
